Since 2013 · What we do
Comprehensive solutions to keep your business compliant, secure, and resilient.
Since 2013 we have kept businesses compliant. Four core practices, scoped individually or combined into a single programme with one point of accountability.
GDPR Audits
Evaluate your processes to ensure full compliance with GDPR regulations — records of processing, lawful bases, retention, transfers and demonstrable accountability.
Discover GDPR auditsCybersecurity Risk Assessments
Identify vulnerabilities and prevent potential cyber threats, with risk rated against a documented methodology your board and your auditors can follow.
Discover risk assessmentsPenetration Testing
Simulate attacks to find weaknesses before hackers do — always under written authorisation, agreed targets, test windows and stop conditions.
Discover penetration testingIncident Response
Rapidly detect, contain, and remediate security incidents to minimise damage — with the 72-hour regulatory clock managed alongside the technical work.

The obligations are the same. The proportionate response is not. We scope to the risk in front of you, not to a template.

First compliance programme
You have customers asking privacy questions in procurement and no formal programme behind the answers. We build the record, the policies and the habits in one pass.
See the starting scope
Multi-jurisdiction governance
Group structures, international transfers, a vendor estate in the hundreds and a supervisory authority that expects evidence. We coordinate counsel country by country.
See the programme model
Sector obligations on top of GDPR
NIS2, DORA, sectoral codes and procurement security schedules layered over the data-protection baseline, mapped so one control satisfies several duties.

Built on a network, not a headcount

A trusted legal network across Europe
Our legal partners bring long-standing experience in privacy, regulatory compliance, and commercial law across European countries and European Union jurisdictions. This network gives clients access to trusted local counsel with the country-specific insight needed to navigate cross-border data matters with confidence. We engage and pay those partners ourselves, so you run one engagement and settle one invoice no matter how many jurisdictions a matter touches, and nothing falls between advisers.
Security built for businesses that are growing
More than 400 companies trust our combined legal and technical perspective to turn complex requirements into practical action. We help leadership teams make confident decisions, strengthen resilience, and protect the data that keeps their businesses moving — from a first records-of-processing exercise through to board-level reporting on a multi-year programme.
GDPR compliance with lasting discipline
Our compliance approach brings together governance, documentation, risk management, and ongoing advisory support. The result is a clear, maintainable privacy program that keeps organisations prepared as regulations, technologies, and business operations evolve.
In-house expertise, strengthened by our network
Our 70+ technology experts combine in-house capability with a trusted specialist network covering security assessments, penetration testing, incident response, and threat mitigation. You get the depth required for complex risks with the practical support to act quickly, and a single engagement manager who stays with the matter from scoping to closure.
Accountability
Know exactly what you process, and why
A GDPR audit is only useful if it produces something you can hand to a regulator. We work from evidence — systems, contracts, logs, interviews — and leave you with a record of processing that reflects reality rather than intention.
- Article 30 records built from data-flow mapping, not questionnaires alone
- Lawful basis and special-category analysis for each processing operation
- Retention schedules tied to named systems and named owners
- Transfer mapping with SCC, adequacy and transfer-impact assessment status

Assurance
Risk expressed in decisions, not adjectives
A rating of "high" means nothing without the reasoning behind it. Our assessments state the threat, the exposed asset, the existing control, the residual risk and the decision you are being asked to make — so the board can accept, transfer or fund it knowingly.
- Documented methodology, repeatable between assessment cycles
- Third-party and supply-chain exposure assessed alongside internal risk
- Findings mapped to ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2 and DORA control expectations
- A remediation roadmap sequenced by risk reduction per unit of effort

Readiness
Find the weakness before it is found for you
Testing happens only after written authority and an agreed rules-of-engagement document naming authorised targets, excluded systems, test windows, permitted techniques, emergency contacts and stop conditions. That discipline is what makes aggressive testing safe.
- External, internal, web application, API and cloud configuration testing
- Evidence retained under agreed handling rules and destroyed on schedule
- Reporting that separates exploitable findings from theoretical ones
- Free retest of remediated findings within the agreed window

Response
The clock starts when you become aware
Article 33 gives you 72 hours. Most of that is spent deciding whether you have a notifiable breach at all. We run the assessment and the containment in parallel so the decision is evidenced, defensible and on time.
- Severity triage and notifiability assessment against Article 33 and 34
- Draft supervisory-authority notification and data-subject communications
- Containment and eradication coordination with your providers
- Post-incident review with tracked corrective actions

How we work
A predictable engagement, start to finish
No work begins before a written scope. No scope changes without written approval. No surprises on the invoice.
Scoping call
A conversation without charge to understand the processing, the pressure and the deadline. We will tell you if you do not need us.
Written proposal
Scope, assumptions, timetable, named personnel, dependencies, deliverables, fees and acceptance criteria — in one document you can take to procurement.
Delivery
Fieldwork, testing or advisory against the agreed scope, with a weekly position so nothing lands as a surprise at the report stage.
Handover
Findings walked through with the people who have to act on them, plus a prioritised roadmap and an agreed retest or review date.
Before you enquire
The questions clients ask first
No. A contact-form submission, a scoping call or a proposal is an enquiry. No solicitor–client relationship, controller–processor relationship, or other professional relationship is formed until a written engagement is signed by both parties. Please do not send passwords, private keys, payment-card details or unnecessary special-category data in an initial enquiry. The full position is set out in our Terms of Service.
We deliver consultancy through our own network of privacy, legal and technical specialists. Where a matter needs a legal opinion in a specific jurisdiction, we bring the right partner into the engagement ourselves — we instruct them, we coordinate them and we pay them. You hold a single engagement with DataFort, speak to a single engagement manager and settle a single invoice, and we remain accountable to you for the work the network delivers. See section 10 of our Terms of Service.
No. An audit is a review against an agreed scope and agreed criteria, using the evidence available at the time. It is not a certification under Article 42 GDPR, an approval by a supervisory authority, or a guarantee that every risk has been identified. Where information is incomplete or withheld, the assessment will be incomplete and we will say so in the report.
Written authority from someone able to give it, and a signed rules-of-engagement document. You must own or be authorised to test every target, including obtaining permission from hosting providers, cloud providers and telecommunications providers where their terms require it. We will not knowingly test an unauthorised target and we will not conceal testing activity from a system owner.
Deliverables are prepared for you and for the purpose stated in the scope. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them internally. You may share them with your professional advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators and group companies where they need the information and are bound by confidentiality — but not publish them or let another party rely on them without written permission. Reports reflect conditions at the time of preparation and are not a continuing warranty.
